Ukraine's energy systems have faced escalating strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in blackouts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Simultaneously, a young boy was fatally injured in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.

He said that 450 drones and several dozen projectiles targeted the country's power systems, labeling such attacks as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were laboring to fix the damage.

National leaders told the media that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the country's energy grid, with strikes already disrupting energy systems.
